[Tikievents] Surf happenings in NorCal, more Tiki Oasis radio

Southern California routinely has lots of great Surf music shows, but here in Northern Cal where its a bit colder it is hard to muster the surfers and surf bands to put on great shows year round. One exception to that is Ferenc and Pollo del Mar's monthly Hotel Utah shows.

Exotica Radio
Want to rekindle the magic of Tiki Oasis?  Now you can, with the Tiki Oasis episode of the Exotica Hour.  The special episode includes interviews with tiki luminaries and music from the bands that performed at this year's event.

The Exotica Hour originates in paradise (public radio station KAKU in Maui, Hawaii) and features a wide range of exotica and internationally themed music, from the legendary masters  (Denny, Baxter, Lyman, Yma Sumac) to today's finest exotica artists (Don Tiki, Tikiyaki Orchestra, Waitiki).  Hosted by Cudra Clover, the show transports listeners on a globetrotting musical adventure, with a different exotic destination featured each week.

You can hear the Tiki Oasis epidode and other Exotica Hour shows as a podcast, downloadable at your lounging leisure at
cudraclover.podomatic.com .  The Exotica Hours is also broadcast on KAKU FM in Maui each Friday afternoon at 5pm Maui time and repeats Saturday at 9pm and can be heard streaming live at WWW.KAKURadio.org.  You can email the show at exoticahour@gmail.com.

Cudra Clover, the show's versatile host, has also created a memorable line of tiki shirts and sarongs, which you might have seen at Tiki Oasis.  You can order Cudra's tiki inspired clothing, as well as her stunning collectible silk art, at
cudraclover.com .

So if you crave a weekly dose of paradise-but don't actually live in paradise-just tune in to the Exotica Hour, for a jet-setting journey of the imagination.  Aloha!
