I had the pleasure of visiting Milwaukee a week ago and visited International Exports Ltd., aka the spy bar, aka The Safe House. Est. 1966, it is a restaurant and bar built like a James Bond film set inside and out.
http://www.safe-house.com/Then we were off to Bryant's - Milwaukee's oldest cocktail lounge. It was remodeled in the 70s with padded brown velvet wallpaper, but serves 450 cocktails from all eras.

There we not only had some good tropical drinks but were treated to a set by Don's other band, the classic surf style combo The Exotics. They are the best surf band in Wisconsin!
