[Tikievents] new Tiki bars in LA

Title: new Tiki bars in LA
there are lots of new Tiki bars around the globe and we are really happy about that
But Los Angeles is about to break big with new Tiki hot spots

Trader Vic's is (re) opening with a bang in Downtown March 2009
(more on that later and on their Chicago opening)

A lot has been said about the (re)opening of the Beverly Hills Luau
Word on the Tiki streets is "don't expect the grand Stephen Crane's Luau" treatment but you gotta pay attention when they've hired Bamboo Ben to deck out the interior and Beachbum Berry to advise and train the barstaff!
(at least the drinks will be good!)

I recently heard that they added the first real tiki - carved by Tiki-Ray - and placed it in the front lobby for all to see.

Foodies are all over this opening considering the all star chef, and the recent photos make it look pretty inviting:
