For the uninitiated, SHAG's seductive renderings focusing on anachronistic Americana are at once fresh and familiar. Tikis, cocktails, Shriners, mini-skirts, and mid-century mod motifs define SHAG's singular aesthetic. His new book celebrates the pleasures of a hedonistic lifestyle and the virtues of overindulgence. His drawings and prints for the show here are wickedly affordable. SHAG's previous exhibitions at Roq la Rue in Seattle invariably sell out in advance.
