[Tikievents] Crazy Al limited necklace,Wreck Bar Mermaid swim and video, mug find

I have posted Crazy Al's limited edition necklace from Tiki Oasis 6 on ebay
I have a couple of them, but only posted one to ebay as a barometer

here is the scoop and the link

Crazy Al's Tiki Oasis 6 Super limited edition Hanalei Hotel Garden Tiki necklace

Al made a total of only 50 necklaces from the mold. Only 30-40 were sold at Oasis in May 2006 and they were sold out immediately at $25 each

Only ten green ones were made and I think all of them were given to me for Tiki Oasis friends

There's some chicken scratch on the bottom that says this is #22 but really that is supposed to be the total # of the total edition. The edition turned out to be 50 so that number is irrelevant for collectors following along at home
below that it says 7 - 10, as in this is number 7 of a series of 10. These numbers of course are very relevant

on the back it says #11 which means this is the eleventh necklace Al has made, again, this gives you an idea of the rarity of it and the relative value.

If you show up to the Tiki party wearing one of these you can bet no one else in the room will have one on!

other details can be viewed here which is the original post

had to share this good news with you
about a week ago Baby Doe and I were driving through Alameda with both kids who had fallen asleep which means we were kinds stuck in the car. We saw a garage sale and on a whim decided to stop and check it out. I stopped going to garage sales long ago because the percentage of finds is so low, you have to be diligent and really hit up 10 - 20 in order to score anything better than what you already have.
So I walk up to this sale and it looks pretty good. I quickly notice a slender 3-mask Otagiri mug. It is from the Tonga Room. As shown on page 106 of Tiki Quest. I look at the bottom. A meduim/small chip and no Otagiri sticker indicates heavy use either at the restaurant or later on. So I'm thinkin, "I would be willing to buy this for $1 since I already have one or two of them." I asked the price, expecting to hear anything from $1 to $5, and the lady says 25 cents. I stood speechless for a second, what could I say? I couldn't talk her down from 25 cents. It was a glorious day!
