San Francisco's reigning underground impresario (if by default only)
is lending a helping hand to one of the stalwart alternative performance spaces
Subject: Nov. 7th, Live/Work benefit
WHAT:Live/Work benefit
WHERE:Somarts 934 Brannan
WHEN: Friday Nov. 7th 9:00-2:00
How Much: $10-$20
We are trying to pave the way for legal Live/Work for real artists. We've
put together a benefit show to raise awareness, money and support.
The Extra Action Marching Band will be giving a sneak preview from
their upcoming Black Sabbath set with Extreme Elvis as Ozzy and the flag team will
be bringing the rarely scene and highly sought after Mobile Ghetto $trip Club.
You can also expect that the Seemen will be up to no good in the side
yard flaunting their, contribution to the "art" world while the Pirate Cat
Radio DJs play music you actually want to listen to, Daniel Browning Smith
(the Rubberboy) will do disgusting things with his body, David Cappuro (the
Yo Yo pro) will rock, Cookie Mongoloid will metal, Black and Blue
Burlesque will be a nice break from all of this boy shit,
the Bike Rodeo will continue to amaze the masses because they are not
severely injured or dead yet, and Kitten on the Keys will make you feel
clean and innocent all over again.
All this and much more... many performers will grace the stage impromptu to
show support and crank the vibe. It has been a bit of a tug of war to get
the permits to legally occupy our space, and this show will help a lot!
Thanks to Anchor brewery, Fernett Branca, Laughing Squid, SOMARTS, the
Collation for Jobs, Arts and housing and all the performers that are playing
in kind!!! Thank you!!!
