This is unbelievable
Our beloved "classics" station - the station that had class and 
bucked all trends
who had won the ears of almost every 30-something post-punk 
disenfranchised by indie rock
then mysteriously and drastically changed formats to play only BAD 
music (Jim Croce, Captain & Tenille, Barry Manilow, etc)

is back on the air

After a too-late petition drive by Will and some members of the Swing 
scene in SF drew little response from management at the station it 
seemed hopeless
Then, Jan. 1, 2001
960 AM - KABL began broadcasting its original format again
