For anyone who is flying into Cleveland or who palns to drive down
with nothing to do you may want to check out/join Michael Toth for a
day of Exotic Akron
Michael penned an article about this for Luxuriamusic.com earlier
this year and co-hosts a college radio show with Zombo (see below)

>Actually, probably more like 2 hours, at least to the Kahiki. Same thing
>goes for the Akron/Canton airport if that works better for you.
>
>Also, FYI, Cleveland is a hub airport for Continental airlines, so you
>might be able to get a nice direct Cleveland flight via Continental. Also
>be sure to check airlines' Web sites for potentially
>otherwise-unavailable online specials (i.e. there's a Continental deal
>from Islip, Long Island to Cleveland for around $150 for budget-minded
>New Yorkers willing to go the 45 miles from Penn Station).
>
>For anyone flying in via NE Ohio, the plan Friday night is to do a
>partial "Exotic Akron" tour. Contact me, Michael Toth at mtoth@neo.rr.com
>if you're interested. The tentative itinerary would be:
>
>- Dinner at the Tiki McDonald's (cheap!)
>- Tour of the amazing Ross Music Ukelele Room (free!)
>- An evening at Benito's ($5 drink minimum!)
>- Perhaps food and liquids at Luigi's afterward (Benito's band winds down
>at 1:00 AM, usually with "Twilight Time"; Luigi's is open to something
>like 4:00 AM...and cheap!)

>For more details on these places, see "Mondo Oscuro - Akron: Rubber City

>Also if anyone's interested, I'd be willing to take folks on Sunday
>afternoon to an indoor flea market east of Akron/west of Youngstown with
>more used vinyl than you can humanly comb through in an afternoon.
>
>Also, for anyone DJ-inclined that's around town long enough, I'd love to
>pre-record radio shows with you.
